Coach's Gratitude-
Week 1 of the postseason is behind us and I am grateful for adversity. Last night after all of the wrestling was done I thought about all of the moments of adversity the young men on this team have endured.  Injuries, illness, skin issues, making weight, wrestling at a weight that isn’t their first choice. In the end it is their response to all of these that has helped to shape and define them as young men.  In my mind I think about all of the lessons wrestling can teach us but, probably don’t do a good enough jo talking about them. All of these wrestlers have become better men for the adversity they endure. All of them must quite literally pick themselves up off the mat after a tough practice, or a match that doesn’t go their way.  It is the tough times that make us tougher. No one likes adversity when they are going through it but I am grateful for it. It has made us a better team from the beginning of the season until now, I am excited for what the next two weeks will brings.

Part 2
Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, siblings, stats, wrestlers not competing, alumni and friends of the program for the last 4 weeks.  I know I have mentioned it previously but it can not be understated how appreciative I am to have the support system we have at Marysville. We just ran events 4 weeks in a row and did a phenomenal job. After every event I here compliments from other coaches about our families who help us do what we do.  The coaches from Liberty and Delaware gave huge shout outs yesterday saying it was one of the best run sectionals they have been to in years. Once again THANK YOU!!!!!!!
